Republican Liberty Caucus Formed in Wisconsin

April 11th, 2010

Milwaukee, WI – The Republican Liberty Caucus, a 527 grassroots membership organization dedicated to restoring constitutional principles to our nation, has formed a Wisconsin affiliate. Members of the affiliate came together during meetings in Appleton and Milwaukee in November and formalized their charter application and by-laws in December.

The officers of the new Republican Liberty Caucus of Wisconsin Chapter include: Michael S. Murphy of Milwaukee, Chair; Chris Ciancimino of Oak Creek, Vice Chair; Paul Sanchez of Brookfield, Secretary; Brian Heyer, CPA of Greenville, Treasurer; and two At-Large members: Steve Welcenbach of Menomonee Falls; and Scott Jazdzewski of Waupun; and advisor Dr. Yuri N. Maltsev, Distinguished Professor of Economics, Carthage College.

According to Wisconsin RLC Chair Michael S. Murphy, “As each day passes it is becoming more and more evident that we need to get back to our conservative principles of free markets, the rule of law, and following the U.S. Constitution. The Republican Liberty Caucus looks forward to working with all individuals wanting take control of our government of, by, and for the people.” Continued Mr. Murphy, “We need an honest and open debate about the direction of our country, and it can start right here in Wisconsin. Limited government principles – when communicated and adhered to – win the hearts and souls of Americans every time. We need not be afraid of these principles,” he concluded.

The Republican Liberty Caucus is a Republican Party caucus dedicated to promoting the Goldwater-Reagan ideals of individual liberty, limited government and free enterprise in by promoting these ideals among Party officials and Party organizations; identifying and supporting candidates sympathetic with the ideals; and promoting caucus membership among Party registrants, officials, and office holders.

The Republican Liberty Caucus is a grassroots membership organization that works to change the direction of the Republican Party in the direction of restoring individual liberty, limited government, and free markets.
